Veszprém Activity parkolóház zöldhomlokzat

The green façade of the ActiCity car park in Veszprém was implemented as part of the development programme connected to the European Capital of Culture initiative. For this project, we applied an instant green façade solution: two-metre-high pre-grown evergreen ivy panels were installed on the façade surfaces, planted in stainless steel planter boxes.

The installation took place in autumn 2022, at which point the fully pre-grown panels had already reached 70% foliage coverage. By the following spring, the vegetation had achieved full coverage, allowing the system to provide the building with a striking, uniform, and genuinely complete green surface within a short period of time.

The approximately 360 m² green façade not only gives the car park a distinctive contemporary appearance, but also helps transform an essentially functional building into a friendlier, greener, and more valuable element of Veszprém’s urban landscape. With capacity for more than 150 cars, the ActiCity car park demonstrates the practical and aesthetic benefits of instant green façades on a busy urban building.
